SUPERVISOR

DAWN
ORTIZ-LEGG

FOR DISTRICT 3

Practical problem solver
inspiring progress.

Supervisor Dawn Ortiz-Legg uses her experience from careers in energy generation, project development, land use planning and public service to effectively advocate on behalf of the residents of our Central Coast Communities.

Her priorities as Supervisor include adapting to a changing climate, developing a robust local economy and creating opportunities for working families, addressing affordability, providing access to top-quality health care services – including preventative and mental health care, and protecting and enhancing the quality and character of our neighborhoods.

As an energy expert, Dawn worked with local governments to expand energy solutions while providing head of household jobs for our local workers.  Prior to working in the California energy industry, Dawn worked with US based international companies to expand international economic opportunities.

As we face challenges such as water, energy and food production for a long-term, sustainable future, Dawn’s top priorities are to ensure that we work with our communities to protect our environmental resources – including prime agricultural land, create open space and recreation opportunities for children and adults, improve access to affordable housing and transportation and nurture a thriving and robust local economy.

Supervisor Dawn Ortiz-Legg has the real world experience and problem solving skills to work with all of her colleagues to find bipartisan solutions for the Central Coast on issues such as drought, long range planning, and maintaining and improving the quality of our neighborhoods and the health and safety of our residents.
